We aim to make Causal Islands inclusive and accessible to everyone. Creating an accessible event benefits individuals with visible or known disabilities and also helps to ensure that everyone, including individuals with non-obvious disabilities and/or chronic health conditions, and people of all ages and body types, are able to fully engage in the program.
To be respectful of those with allergies and environmental sensitivities, we ask that you please refrain from wearing strong fragrances.

Paradise Theatre is wheelchair accessible through the main entrance on Bloor Street into the lobby area. The theatre is wheelchair accessible from the lobby with two available spots reserved at the back of the main level. The main floor restaurant is also wheelchair accessible. Accessible washrooms are also available on the main floor. Doors are wide and barrier-free.
The stage is accessible using a small elevator at the back of the theatre accessed from the exterior alley door. If you’re a presenter that requires use of this elevator, please let us know.
The green room is only accessible by stairs.Seating on the main floor of the theatre is sloped with steps and handrails in the aisles.
The seats are fold-down movie theatre-style. Tables are not available in the main theatre. Tables are available in the restaurant and bar areas on the main and second floors.
The second floor and basement are accessible by stairs.
Quiet room: We are offering a quiet room in the Paradise Theatre wine bar on the lower basement level. This space seats 12 people. Please refrain from using this room for loud conversations or meetings.
Visibility: Visibility in the theatre is good from all angles. Theatre lights may be dimmed before, during, and after presentations. If you require assistance or have trouble seeing in low light, let us know.
Assistive listening: We will have live captioning. Other assistive listening devices may be available. Please be patient as we finalize these details.
Charging: There are no electrical outlets at seats in the theatre and a limited number of outlets throughout the space. We may offer a charging station for devices. If you require an outlet to recharge assistive devices, please let us know.
Refrigeration: Do you require refrigeration for medication? Let us know and we can make accommodations with the on-site restaurant.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided. To address climate change, our baseline meals will be vegetarian. Breakfast sandwiches and pastries will be available in the morning, pasta and salad will be served buffet-style during our lunch break, and snacks and coffee/tea/soft drinks served throughout the day. When you purchase your ticket, we include options for adding meat, making your meals vegan or gluten-free, or to note other needs. Please contact us if you have any questions.
There is no parking on site but there is street parking on Bloor and other adjacent streets. There is TTC subway stations several blocks away in either direction on Bloor. There is a bus route along Bloor as well. Toronto Bike Share is also available with a nearby station. Protected bike lanes run the length of Bloor. Sidewalks are wide and easily accommodate wheelchairs.
Toronto and the Paradise Theatre do not currently require masks. The theatre’s current COVID protocols include cleaning and sanitizing. If this changes, we’ll update you with the most up-to-date info here. However, we recommend wearing a mask when not eating or drinking.
